Carbon monoxide alarms???? will soon be REQUIRED in all rental properties in England that have gas boilers or fires.
Update: New Carbon Monoxide Alarm Laws Introduced
Currently, they’re only a requirement in homes with appliances that burn solid fuel????
The same piece of legislation will make smoke alarms mandatory in social rented housing – which, surprisingly, they haven’t been until now.
Here at Horizon Lets we are all for improving tenant safety and for raising standards in the private rented sector????
This is a logical and needed piece of legislation that as a company policy we have always insisted on anyway – despite the lack of legal necessity!!
We want our landlords to be proud of their properties, and we want our tenants to feel safe and reassured with a level of protection that is very easy to achieve. Gas poisoning is a silent and invisible threat that can be lethal and should not be taken lightly by all involved in the buy to Let sector.
If you are a landlord or if your are looking to move into the buy to let market please contact our team any advice or guidance that you may require on this subject via:
